West Bengal SSC Scam: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee sacked minister Partha Chatterjee, who is accused in the West Bengal teacher recruitment scam. He has already been arrested in this scam. The West Bengal Government has issued a statement to this effect. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will look after the responsibilities of the Commerce and Industry Department as well as the IT Department, where she is the minister. Currently he is the General Secretary of Trinamool Congress Party. There is a possibility of removal from that post as well.
As part of the investigation of this scam case, it is known that in the searches carried out by the officials of the Enforcement Directorate, huge bundles of currency notes were found. Arpita Mukherjee’s close friend Arpita Mukherjee’s seizure of cash and jewelery worth around Rs 50 crore by the authorities has created a stir across West Bengal. Enforcement Directorate has already arrested Partha and Arpita in this case.

This controversy has caused a great uproar in the state politics of West Bengal. The opposition BJP and CPM criticized the state government for not taking action against the minister. Meanwhile, the ED officials who searched Arpita Mukherjee’s second flat on Wednesday found Rs. 28.90 crore cash, more than 5 kg gold and many documents were seized. Earlier from her residence Rs. 21.90 crore in cash, Rs. 56 lakh worth of foreign currency, Rs. 76 lakh worth of gold seized.
