In the month of May, 31 lakh new people chose the Jio network. TRAI said that the number of Jio subscribers across the country has reached 40.87 crore. In the same month, Airtel added 10.27 lakh users, taking the number of users to 36.21 crore. 7.59 lakh people left Vodafone Idea (VI), taking the number of users to 25.84 crore. The number of subscribers of state-run telecom company BSNL has also decreased by around 53.62 lakh. With this, the number of BSNL users fell to 11.28 crores.

Reliance Jio has once again become number one if we look at the number of users in AP and Telangana states. In the month of May this year, Reliance Jio added 3.27 lakh new subscribers in AP and Telangana. Meanwhile Bharti Airtel added 71,312 mobile customers. On the other hand, Vodafone Idea lost 74,808 subscribers while state-owned telecom company BSNL lost 78,423 subscribers during the same period.
