Girl Fall in Borewell: A 12-year-old girl fell into a 500 feet deep borewell in Gujarat’s Surendranagar district on Friday morning. Army and police teams worked hard for 5 hours and finally rescued the girl. The incident took place in Gajanwav village of Dhringadhra tehsil. This is the second incident in the tehsil after a two-year-old boy was rescued from a borewell in June. An official said that the girl, Manisha, fell into a borehole in the farm around 7.30 am.

Dhringadhra Police Inspector TB Hirani revealed that after nearly five hours of efforts, army jawans with the help of local police and health department personnel rescued her. She said that the girl was trapped at a depth of 60 feet in the borehole which is about 500-700 feet deep. During the rescue operation, oxygen was supplied to the girl and her condition was monitored through an internal camera. As soon as the girl was rescued, the army medical team rushed her to the hospital in Dhringadhra, giving her oxygen. An officer revealed that after rescuing her, they realized that her oxygen levels were low and immediately administered oxygen. He said she is fine now.

After the girl was rescued, the locals who reached the spot raised slogans of Jai Jawan. Deputy Superintendent of Police JD Purohit said that the army and police teams conducted this operation successfully. On June 2, an army team was called after a two-year-old boy fell into a borewell in a farm in Dhringadhra. The boy was rescued after about three hours.
