AP Bar Licenses: Bar licenses extended for another two months

The AP government has good news for bar owners in the AP. The government has extended bar licenses in the state for another two months. Ordered an extension of licenses from July 1st to August 31st. The government took the decision in the wake of the expiration of current bar licenses by the end of this month.

The government has ordered the payment of prescribed fees for the extended period of licenses. Instructed to pay the prescribed license fees by June 27th. The state government has released a new bar policy for the 2022-23 financial year in AP. The government has stated that the new bar policy will come into effect from September 1.

The renewal of bar licenses has shown that there will be no alcohol ban in the AP. The government has decided to issue licenses not exceeding 840 bars. The application fee is Rs. 5 lakhs in areas with a population of less than 50 lakhs, Rs. 7.50 lakhs in towns with a population of 50 thousand to 5 lakhs and Rs. Shops are allocated through auction in AP. The license fee for a three-star hotel has been fixed at Rs 5 lakh and the non-refundable registration charge at Rs 50 lakh per annum.
