Officials have decided to organize Agniveer recruitment rally in Visakhapatnam in connection with the recently introduced Agnipath scheme by the central government. To this extent, it has been announced that there will be selections of fire fighters at the Indira Priyadarshini Stadium in Visakhapatnam from August 14 to 31. Officials of the Defense Department revealed that candidates from 13 districts of AP and Yanam Union Territory can participate in this recruitment rally. Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakha, Ubhayagodavari Districts, Krishna, Parvathipuram Manyam, Alluri Seetharamaraju District, Anakapalli, Kakinada, Konaseema, Eluru, NTR, Yanam region have suggested that they can participate in this recruitment.

Defense department officials have revealed that the interested candidates should register for the recruitment rally online by 30th of this month. Admit cards will be issued online from 7th August. Candidates can clear their doubts through Army Calling mobile app. They said that they can call Visakha Army Recruitment Office on 0891-2756959, 0891-2754680 and clear their doubts. On Monday, the Supreme Court said that it is accepting the petitions filed to cancel the Agneepath scheme. The Supreme Court has informed that it will hear arguments on this matter next week.
