State Bank of India is the largest public sector bank in India. But now a fake message is being circulated on the phones of SBI customers. A link is also displayed along with the message that your SBI account has been blocked and you need to renew your account again with the relevant details. This message went to the attention of the Central Government. This is a fake message. The Central Bureau of Information and Broadcasting (PIB) Fact Check has warned clients to be vigilant about this message.
The Central Government has advised SBI to never send such messages to its customers and to be vigilant if such messages are received on your phones or e-mail. Warns not to share bank account details under any circumstances. The PIB fact check section said that if anyone wants to bring this fake message to the attention of SBI, they should mail it to report.phishing@sbi.co.in. Besides, a link is also being circulated under the name of Sub Ka Vikas Maha Quiz.
