Officials said the flood coming into Prakasam barrage has also reduced to 11,081 cusecs. 3,700 cusecs are being released to the Krishna delta canals and the surplus 7,381 cusecs are being released into the sea from the Prakasam barrage.

The water level in the Mantralayam increased due to the pouring of Tungabhadra. The bathing ghats near the Mantralaya were submerged. Railway bridge and Madhavaram bridge are flowing rapidly. Devotees coming to Mantralaya are not allowed to go to bathhouses. They are controlled by barricades. As the water level is increasing, heavy security has been set up there.
