Under the 9th installment of the Raitubandhu scheme, a total of Rs 1820.75 crore was deposited on 36.41 lakh acres belonging to 36.30 lakh farmers in these two days, Agriculture Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy said. Among the agrarian beneficiaries, those with five types accounted for the highest 92.50 per cent of the farmers. He said the total amount being provided to the beneficiaries over tens of thousands is only Rs 250 crore.
Niranjan Reddy said that Raitubandhu will be credited to all the beneficiaries in installments. On the second day, 16.32 lakh farmers’ funds were deposited in their accounts. Rs 1223.10 crore was deposited today for their 24.68 lakh acres. The minister said Rs 7,508 crore would be given to 65 lakh beneficiaries in the 9th tranche under the Raitubandhu scheme. He said that 68.10 lakh people are eligible for the total Raitubandhu. On the first day, Rs 586.65 crore farmer bond funds were deposited on 11.73 lakh acres belonging to 19.98 lakh farmers. Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy clarified that Rs 50,448 crore has been provided to farmers in the last eight installments.
