According to the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, 287 children have been killed in Ukraine since the war began on February 24. More than 492 children were injured. At least 24 children have been killed in a series of indiscriminate shelling by Russian forces in the city of Mariopol alone. Much destruction has taken place, especially in the city of Mariopol. The city was completely devastated. The city mayor said the sewage system was in a state of disrepair and the corpses of those killed in the war were strewn across the streets. The war affected nearly 5 million people.
