Presidential Poll: రాష్ట్రపతి ఎన్నికపై ఖర్గే-రాజ్‌నాథ్‌ కీలక చర్చలు.. ఏకగ్రీవమయ్యేనా?

The presidential election affair is becoming juicy day by day. While Mamata Banerjee is trying to unite the opposition, the ruling BJP is moving pieces to unify the elections. The BJP has handed over the responsibility of bringing consensus on the Presidential elections to Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. He is active in this regard. Rajnath recently spoke to senior Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Mallikarjuna Kharge.
Kharge revealed that Rajnath had told him that Prime Minister Modi wanted to know their views. He said he was asked what the government’s proposals were. The candidate said he was asked who was standing. However, Rajnath did not elaborate on whether to continue consultations with him. Kharge made key remarks in this context. If the Opposition proposes the name of a non-controversial candidate, will the government support it? Asked. Is it possible to win the candidate unanimously? Asked.

Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, on the other hand, was spotted in the beginning calling for a meeting to discuss the presidential election. It is learned that TRS and AAP will be absent from the meeting. In the wake of Congress coming to this meeting TRS .. decided to stay away from the meeting. On the other hand, the Aam Aadmi Party has made it clear that it will take a decision on whether to support the opposition only after announcing the candidate. Biju Janata Dal and Shiromani Akali Dal will also be absent from the meeting. MIM revealed that they had not received an invitation and would have stayed away from the meeting if they had. The Congress also said that this was due to its participation in the meeting.

The presidential election will be held on July 18. The results will be released on July 21. In this context, it seems that Mamata is working to field a joint candidate on behalf of the Opposition. To this end, Mamata has invited 22 leaders of political parties to discuss the elections. It has seven chief ministers. However, before the meeting, it seems that 4 parties have announced their absence.
