President Ramnath Kovind: President Ramnath Kovind gave a farewell address to the nation on the occasion of completion of his tenure. Citizens are asked to think about Mahatma Gandhi’s life and teachings for at least a few minutes every day. President Ram Nath Kovind said that his election as the President of India, who was born in a very ordinary family in the village of Parvaunkh in Uttar Pradesh, indicates the strength of the country’s democracy. Ramnath suggested that present generations should protect nature, mother earth, air and water for future generations.
He said that during these five years that he served as the President, he got full cooperation from all sections of the society. He said that everyone blessed him. Indian tradition is unique in maintaining connection with roots. Youth should preserve this tradition. He called upon them to continue their association with their villages, towns, schools and teachers. President Ram Nath Kovind, who spoke mainly on environmental protection, expressed concern over nature’s fury. He said that the climate crisis is making the future of the planet questionable. He said that there is a need to protect the environment for future generations. They want to take care of trees, rivers, seas, mountains and fellow creatures. Kovind said, “If there is one message that I will give to my countrymen as a first citizen, this is it.” Dr. BR Ambedkar believed that political democracy cannot survive without social democracy. He said that he firmly believes that our country is gearing up to make the 21st century India’s century.
