It is known that he had a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday. Newly appointed Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis met Amit Shah and greeted him. Amit Shah tweeted that he believes that by serving the people under the guidance of Narendra Modi, he will take Maharashtra to new heights of development. It is remarkable that this is Shinde’s first visit after taking charge as CM. Ahead of the presidential election, a meeting with key leaders in Delhi has become a priority amid reports that the Maharashtra cabinet will be expanded in two phases.

As a result, the MVA government lost its majority in the Maharashtra Assembly. Shiv Sena leader Thackeray resigned from the post of CM before the test of strength. Later, the government led by Eknath Shinde won the test of strength by a margin of 164-99.
