As part of preventive measures, orders have been issued to increase the height of the upper coffer dam by 1 meter. With this, on July 15, the work to increase the height of the upper coffer dam was started. To this extent, the officials increased the height of the two and a half kilometer long earthen embankment by one meter. These works were completed within two days.

The work of raising the upper coffer dam of the Polavaram project by 2.5 km to a height of one meter and a width of 2 meters started on July 15. After filling 12 thousand cubic meters of rock, the engineering officials increased the height of the upper coffer dam of the Polavaram project. The upper coffer dam construction work was undertaken to withstand heavy floods. By July 17, the construction company Megha Engineering Company has completed the work of raising the height of 1m.
