Lieutenant General Manoj Pandey has been appointed as the new Chief of the Indian Army. The Ministry of Defense released an official statement on Monday. Manoj Pandey Pandey will replace General MM Navaran, who is currently the Army Chief. His tenure from Engineer to Army Chief is inspiring to every soldier. A Cabinet sub-committee headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given the green light to Pandey’s appointment.

There is widespread speculation that the CDS post vacated by the death of Bipin Rawat will be replaced by the current Army Chief Navaran. However, Navarani will retire by the end of April. In this context, the new Chief of Army Staff, Manoj Pandey, who is currently the Vice Chief of Army Staff, has been appointed. Manoj Pandey is the first engineer to be appointed as Army Chief. Prior to that, Manoj Pandey served in the Commanding Section of the Border Countries of the Northeastern States. Manoj Pandey, who has about 39 years of Army experience, will take charge on April 30. Manoj Pandey received the Parama Vishishta Seva Padak, Ati Vishishta Seva Padak and Vishishta Seva Patak.
