TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh wrote a letter to AP CM Jagan urging him to reopen Anna canteens and feed the poor. Lokesh said in the letter that Anna canteens across AP need to be opened in Argentina. As soon as Jagan came to power, he hated Annagari’s name. During the TDP rule, Chandrababu started 201 canteens across the state. Lokesh reminded in the letter that Rs 200 crore has been allocated in the budget for Anna canteens.
Lokesh, however, criticized the canteen bills for being stopped when Jagan came to power. Asked if there was a conspiracy to close the Anna canteens, the government said it would close the Anna canteens the next day. With this, the government is leaving 3 lakh people hungry every day. Lokesh criticized the disused Anna canteens for becoming a haven for unscrupulous activities. There are no jobs for the workers .. No employment for the workers .. Beggars are starving .. Anna canteens are being run voluntarily in some areas under the auspices of TDP to cater to the hunger of the poor. Lokesh said that the level of poor people coming to the canteens they run with the help of donors makes sense. In the letter, Lokesh said he wanted to stop the demolition and obstruction of the Anna canteens they were focusing on. Jagan demanded that the government allocate funds in the budget for the Anna canteens, which are starving without any excuse that there is no funding and no debt.
I wrote a letter to CM Jagan Reddy asking him to reopen the canteens and feed the poor.
I do not know if it’s anger or hatred for the poor, or hatred for the poor, but the canteens are closed. (1/3)#AnnaCanteen pic.twitter.com/l41uMDfgYf– Lokesh Nara (naralokesh) June 25, 2022
