Monkeypox disease is disturbing many countries around the world. Already more than 6000 cases have been registered in 58 countries. Especially in European countries like UK, Spain, Germany and France, these cases are recorded more. 85 percent of the cases were recorded in one continent of Europe.
Suspicions are being expressed that monkeypox cases have been registered in India recently. Doctors suspect monkeypox in a student admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata. The suspect returned from Europe a few days ago. Rashes formed on the body of a young man from West Midnapore. He was admitted to a hospital in Kolkata with symptoms of monkeypox. Suspecting monkeypox, his samples were sent to the National Institute of Virology (NIV) in Pune. The results are not yet available. Currently, the West Bengal Health Department has alerted the family members who are close to the suspect. The suspect is kept in isolation.
