Maharashtra Political Crisis: Tomorrow's ordeal in Maharashtra

Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari has taken a crucial decision in the wake of the political crisis in Maharashtra. Ordered for forensic examination on June 30th. CM Uddhav Thackeray has to prove his majority. However, with 39 MLAs from the Shiv Sena already in the camp of rebel leader Ek Nath Shinde, the ordeal has become crucial. Former chief minister and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis, who met the governor on Tuesday, urged the governor to immediately order a forensic examination as Uddhav Thackeray had lost his majority. In this context, a forensic examination is going to be held in Maharashtra tomorrow. The governor directed Uddhav Thackeray to be ready for the showdown at 11 a.m. tomorrow.

The MLAs already in Guwahati will leave for Mumbai tomorrow. It is learned that several MLAs have already vacated their allotted rooms. Rebel leader Ek Nath Shinde, who visited the Kamakhya temple in Guwahati, also said that he was leaving for Mumbai for a floor test tomorrow. Maharashtra prayed for peace and happiness.

Meanwhile, it seems certain that the government of CM Uddhav Thackeray will fall almost tomorrow. Shiv Sena, NCP, Congress party Mahavikas Aghadi government has come to an end three years ago. The three parties, which have been in power for two and a half years, are likely to step down. In the 288-seat Maharashtra Assembly, there are 144 magic figures. Until recently, the Maha Vikas Aghadi government had the support of 152 MLAs. But with the Ek Nath Shinde uprising, more than 40 MLAs withdrew their support for the government. With this, it seems that the BJP, which has 106 MLAs, will form a government in the Ek Nath Shinde category.

Devendra Fadnavis is likely to take over as Chief Minister again. There are also speculations that rebel leader Ek Nath Shinde will be given the post of Deputy CM as well as the Home Ministry.
