Maharashtra: Aurangabad MP Avadena.. Will he pay Rs. 1000 crores for name change?

Recently, before the Uddhav Thackeray government came down in Maharashtra, it issued an order changing the name of Aurangabad to Shambhaji Nagar. The name of Aurangabad has to be changed on all documents and boards by government decision. Recently, Aurangabad MP and AIMIM party leader Imtiaz Jalil expressed his anger on this issue. He criticized the Thackeray government as a last ditch effort to save the government. Imtiaz Jalil’s comment that he recently read a report that it costs Rs.500 crores to change the name of a small town, but a Delhi official said that it costs Rs.1,000 crores to change the name of a town like Aurangabad has now become a hot topic.

He said that due to changing the name of the village, Rs.1000 crores will have to be spent for the name change of government documents, letters and replies. All this will have to be spent with the income from people’s taxes. He said that this includes his money. MP Imtiaz Jalil opined that the new name will confuse people. This is not a religious issue. For example, if he has a shop, now with the change of name, he also has to change the document related to the shop. For this, a new Aadhaar card has to be taken… For this, one has to stand in a queue. Uddhav Thackeray or Sharad Pawar or any other leader will not come and help the people. He wants to think how difficult this process will be for common people.
