Krishna Floods: It is known that many projects were flooded with Godavari after the recent heavy rains. But now the Godavari river has calmed down as the heavy rains have receded in the upper reaches. This caused the flood to recede. The water level of Godavari at Dhavaleswaram barrage has reduced to 11 feet. As a result, the authorities withdrew the first danger warning. From Dhavaleswaram, 9.7 lakh cusecs of water is being released into the sea and 5,200 cusecs into the canals. Although the flood level has receded, some areas in Konaseema and Godavari districts are still inundated. The victims are suffering due to the accumulation of mud in the flooded areas and residences.
