The two-day IPL-2022 mega auction is over. A total of 204 players were sold at the auction. Of these, 67 were foreign players. All the franchises together spent Rs 551.7 crore for 204 players. Ishant Kishan is the highest bidder in this IPL auction. Mumbai Indians spent Rs 15.25 crore for him. Deepak Chahar came in second. He was bought by Chennai Super Kings for Rs 14 crore. Shreyas Iyer (Kolkata Knight Riders) was third with Rs 12.25 crore, Shardul Thakur (Delhi Capitals) was fourth with Rs 10.75 crore and Herschelle Patel (Bangalore Royal Challengers) was fifth with Rs 10.75 crore.
Mumbai Indians have bought legendary cricketer Sachin’s son Arjun Tendulkar for Rs 50 lakh. In the past too, the Mumbai Indians did not get a chance in the final squad to secure him. It remains to be seen whether Arjun Tendulkar will get a chance to play in any of the leagues this year.
