The Department of Civil Aviation has revealed that this has affected around 900 services on Saturday alone. DGCA has taken this matter seriously and has sought an explanation from Indigo Airlines. However, industry sources say that all the staff on sick leave have gone for job interviews conducted by Air India.

Indigo operates around 1600 domestic and international services on a regular basis. In this, many services did not run on Saturday. There are reports that a similar problem has arisen on Sunday as well. DGCA Chief Arun Kumar responded to this. He said that we have focused on this development. However, Indigo did not respond to this.

It is learned that the situation arose as many of these Indigo Airlines staff were on sick leave and had gone to attend the Air India recruitment drive. Tata Group owned Air India conducted phase 2 recruitment drive on Saturday. Many cabin crew members have gone on sick leave to participate in Air India’s recruitment drive, officials said.
