The crucial fifth Test between Team India and England will be played from July 1. The test, which was postponed due to last year’s corona, is being conducted this year. Before the start of the match, the team had a hard time. Corona spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has recently recovered. He also took part in a practice session with the team before the start of a practice match with Leicestershire on Thursday. The BCCI has posted photos of Ashwin participating in the practice session on social media. Earlier, Ashwin did not board a flight to England as the Indian players left Mumbai for London on June 16 for a tour of England. He remained in India because of Corona. After completing all the Kovid rules including isolation, Ashwin left for England.
In the four-day warm-up match against Leicestershire, India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bat first. During the first day’s tea session, Team India struggled to score only 175 for seven. Rohit (25), Kohli (33) and Shubhman Gill (21) scored runs. Hanuma Vihari (3), Shreyas Iyer (0) were severely disappointed. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja scored 13 runs. Srikar Bharat (34) and Umesh Yadav (8) were at the crease. Leicestershire bowlers Roman Walker took 5 wickets.
