The USA will host the first summit of the I2U2, an alliance of India, Israel, the USA and the UAE. The meeting will be attended by the presidents of the four countries. This is the first summit to be held after the formation of I2U2. The initials of India and Israel are combined to form I2, and the USA and UAE are combined to form U2. The group is also referred to as the West Asia Quad.

The meeting will be attended by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Israeli Prime Minister Naphtali Bennett, USA President Joe Biden and UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Joe Biden will travel to Israel and West Asia next month from the 13th to the 16th. The I2U2 summit will take place during this visit.

In October 2021, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken proposed launching the I2U2. The group was formed to work in coordination on expanding economic and political cooperation in the Middle East and West Asia, trade, climate change, energy cooperation and other key issues.

Biden is looking to improve cooperative relations with various countries as President of the United States. A quad meeting was already held with members from Australia, Japan, India and the USA. He also formed a new alliance with Australia, the UK and the USA called Akus. Former President Donald Trump has pulled out of most alliances in the past. But Biden is currently working on restoring them all.
