Tara Air’s twin-voter 9N AET took off from Pokhara at 9:55 a.m. Sunday, but lost communication with the plane at 10:07 a.m., an airline spokesman said. The plane was carrying 22 people, including four Indians, three Japanese nationals and 15 Nepalese nationals. Prem Nath Thakur, general manager, Tribhuvan International Airport, said authorities had tracked down the plane’s captain Prabhakar Jimre’s cell phone through the GPS network and tried to track the plane’s whereabouts.
