Adani Wilmar cuts prices of edible oil: The popular oil fortune brand company Adani Wilmar has given good news to the common man who is shaken by the prices of essential commodities. In the wake of the fall in international prices, it has announced that the prices of cooking oils sold under the Fortune brand will be reduced by up to Rs.30. With this, the prices of Fortune brand cooking oils will come down across the country. Fortune Soya Bean Oil will be reduced from Rs.195 to Rs.165. Fortune sunflower oil will be reduced from Rs.210 to Rs.199 and maximum price of mustard oil will be reduced from Rs.195 to Rs.190. Rice bran oil will come down from Rs.225 to Rs.210. Groundnut oil will go up from Rs.220 to Rs.210 and margarine sold under Rag brand will go up from Rs.200 to Rs.185. Rag Palmolin will be reduced from Rs.170 to Rs.144.

Meanwhile, common people are happy about the reduction in cooking oil prices. Recently, the central government has ordered the respective oil companies to reduce the prices of cooking oil in the country as well. The government has directed cooking oil manufacturers to reduce the maximum retail price of imported cooking oil by Rs 10 per liter within a week. Due to this, many companies are reducing the prices of cooking oils. Angshu Mallick, CEO of Adani Wilmar Company, said that the reduced cooking oil prices will be available to consumers soon. He opined that this reduction will boost demand in the upcoming festive season. Meanwhile, the prices of oilseeds are falling heavily abroad. Also, the central government has reduced the import duty and oil prices have come down.
