North Korea is a country of mystery. Not a single corona case has come to light in that country at a time when the corona is booming around the world. But just hours after the first corona case was reported in North Korea, the country’s first corona death occurred. Six people have died of a recent fever in Pyongyang. However, one of the dead was found to have a corona positive. Authorities found an Omicron BA2 variant in the body.

On the other hand, 1.87 lakh people across North Korea are currently suffering from fever. Authorities are treating all of them in isolation. The North Korean capital, Pyongyang, is currently under lockdown due to the Corona boom. Although fever cases are said to be reported, there are suspicions that they may all be corona cases. The Corona vaccination program has not yet begun in North Korea. North Korea has previously refused to be vaccinated by the World Health Organization.
