In Telangana, the issue of buying grain has come to the fore once again. The TRS government is demanding that the Center buy up to the last grain of grain harvested in Yasangi. In addition, the Rose Brigade ministers have already reached Hastinapur and are making efforts to meet the Union ministers. In this context, writing a letter to CM KCR Prime Minister Modi has become a hot topic. The CM demanded in a letter to the KCR Prime Minister to buy all the grain harvested in Yasangi. Besides, KCR demanded that grain should be procured in Telangana as in Punjab and Haryana. He reminded in the letter that the responsibility for enforcing the Food Security Act in the country lies with the Center.

In his letter, CM KCR questioned the Center as to what would be the meaning of the minimum support price if the farmers did not collect all the grain harvested. The letter said that doing so would also serve as a pretext for food security and that there should be a uniform grain procurement system across the country. In a letter to the Prime Minister, CM KCR asked that a meeting be arranged with the Chief Ministers of all the states and agricultural experts on the procurement of food grains and their responsibility under the Food Security Act.
