Chief Minister Jagan did not give a key directive on grain purchases in AP. CM YS Jagan conducted a review on the Department of Agriculture at the camp office. In the wake of Kharif, the CM conducted a review on grain purchases through e-cropping and RBK. The crop grown by the farmer must be e-cropped. Based on these data, it is possible to help the farmer in case of natural calamities or any other difficulties.

The e-crop process needs to be further strengthened. In the past it was clearly instructed to give a physical receipt along with a digital receipt after e-cropping. The digital receipt should be sent directly to the farmer’s cell phone. In case of loss to him .. based on that receipt the farmer gets the right to question them. The SOP related to this should be strengthened. VRVO, Survey Assistant, Joint Assignment of Agriculture Assistants.

Jagan wanted to make available to them a master register with details of the lands cultivated in the village and the farmers concerned. Geo-tagging and photographs must be loaded into the e-crop. E-cropping should start from June 15 and be completed by the end of August. A social audit should be conducted in the first week of September. Lists should be kept in the village and ward secretariats. E-cropping should be reviewed and monitored every 15 days at the level of superiors. Authorities at the mandal and district levels want to check the practice of e-cropping. Want to take away the role of millers in grain purchases.

Grain purchases should be made through RBKs. There should not be conditions where farmers go to millers for grain sale. The responsibility for procuring the grain lies with the Civil Supplies Department, said CM Jagan. The Department of Civil Supplies is also responsible for paying them money after purchasing the grain. After purchasing from the farmer, the grain should be weighed at another way-bridge and the receipt should be given to the farmer. This gives the farmer MSP. Not a single rupee of the MSP due should be deducted from the farmer. As rulers and officials we must stand by the voiceless. We have to think from their side. Jagan said he would stand by the farmers on the issue of price for crops.
