TDP chief Chandrababu has written a letter to DGP Rajendranath Reddy regarding the attack on the family of Venkaiahma, a resident of Kantheru, Tadikonda mandal, Guntur district. In the letter, Chandrababu alleged that attacks by YCP cadres on critics of the government had become routine in the state. He was incensed that the YCP was terrorizing those who criticized themselves through attacks, insults, threats and killings. Chandrababu explained that such incidents were taking place with the help of some police officers.
Chandrababu was angry that no action had been taken so far against the YCP cadres who attacked Venkaiah on the 16th of last month for criticizing the government. In a letter to the DGP, Chandrababu explained that now Venkaiah’s son had recently attacked Vamsi. Vamsi narrowly escaped death in an attack by the YCP today. Police responded immediately and demanded protection for Venkaiah’s family. Asked to take strict action against the accused.
