AP BJP core committee leaders met BJP national president JP Nadda who came to AP and had crucial discussions. The meeting was attended by party AP chief Somu Veerraju along with party MPs TG Venkatesh, Sujana Chowdhury, CM Ramesh, key leaders Kanna Laxminarayan, Purandeshwari and GVL Narasimha Rao. Information on the organizational structure of the party in the state was discussed on this occasion. Most important of all, there is a campaign to have key discussions on the remarks made by Janasena leader Pawan Kalyan towards alliances with the respective parties in the coming elections.

However, BJP national secretary Satyakumar said there was no need to mention alliances in the AP and the CM candidate now. He clarified that their party would decide the CM candidates during the elections. He said the BJP has a tradition of declaring BJP candidates as its CM candidates. He said the YCP government was discussing alliances to sideline the problems in the state. Satyakumar said that he was pointing out to Pawan Kalyan that he was not involved in the YCP mind game. He referred to the Kodikatti case in the past, accusing YCP leaders of being virtuous in playing the mind game.
