The AP government has stepped up its efforts to protect the environment in industrial areas. Today a special drive is being organized across the state led by the Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC). The “Industrial Environment Improvement (IEID)” drive is underway under the direction of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
For 20 days from today until July 5, officials focused on environmental protection in industrial parks. Removal of fur in industrial parks, installation of name boards, installation of street lights and maintenance of flood canals. In addition, APIIC will undertake road repairs and planting activities. Chairman Mettugovinda Reddy will inaugurate the ‘IEID’ planting plant at Ammavaripalli in Hindupur.
APIIC VC & MD Subramaniam Jawwadi will be involved in sanitation work in Autonagar, Guntur district. Local leaders and industrialists will be participating in the event. Authorities have been alerted to recent accidents. Inspections in industrial areas were in full swing.
