AP government offers sweets to women government employees The government has issued orders increasing the childcare leave for employees in AP from 60 days to 180 days. On Tuesday night, Chief Secretary to Government SS Rawat issued orders regarding employees’ leave in line with the recommendations of the 11th Pay Amendment Commission.
To this extent child adoption, child care, special casual leave for the disabled, ex-gratia for various diseases are mentioned in the orders. Holidays can also get full pay. It is also possible to use these holidays in conjunction with other holidays. If the adopted baby is less than a month old, he or she can be given leave for up to a year. Six months leave can be taken if the child is between six months and seven months of age. Nine months, three months leave on age above that. All of these come in addition to other holidays. However, the same does not apply to adoptees who already have two children.
Employees with disabilities can take special ‘casual’ leave for seven days a year to have their prostheses replaced. Nursing employees working in high-risk wards can also take these leave. The government has announced ex-gratia for employees receiving treatment for life-threatening illnesses. Non-Gazetted employees with a basic pay limit of Rs 35,570 can get Rs 11,560 to Rs 17,780 and Lost Grade Employees Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 per month. Also, Extra Ordinary leave can be taken even after the end of earned leave and half pay leave.
