Officials have revealed that 10,000 women have applied for these posts so far. For the first time, the Indian Navy has agreed to recruit women as sailors in the Navy. As part of the Agniveer scheme, it has been said that the recruitment of women for sailors will be undertaken. If necessary, they will be sent to duty in warships as well, it said.
