But researcher Avindra Nath revealed that the corona virus does not directly affect the brain.. The brain is affected by the immune system. It was revealed that the blood vessels in the brain were affected when the autopsies were conducted. At first we didn’t understand the reason for this.. Later it was revealed that our immune system cells are attacking the blood vessels.

Antibodies produced against the Covid virus have been shown to damage the endothelial cells that line the blood vessels in the brain. Endothelial cells block harmful substances from entering the brain. But as our immune system cells damage these endothelial cells, proteins leak from the blood. Research has shown that this causes blood clotting and bleeding in the brain and also causes stroke. The study was conducted on nine people aged 24 to 73 years.
