Agnipath: సుప్రీం కోర్టుకు చేరిన అగ్నిపథ్ వివాదం

Anger is raging over the new Army scheme ‘Agneepath’ brought by the Center. Concerns are rife in Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana and Haryana. The agitators vandalized railway property and resorted to agitation. Concerns have been raging in several districts of Bihar for the past three days. Several trains were torched by protesters. Riots also broke out in Telangana on Friday. Property was vandalized at Secunderabad station. One young man died of these anxieties.

Meanwhile, the latest ‘Agneepath’ case has reached the Supreme Court. Special inquiry to probe protests against government-initiated Agneepath recruitment scheme TeamA petition has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking an order to set up a (SIT). A petition has been filed seeking an inquiry into the damage done to public property along with the railways. The petitioners also asked the Supreme Court to set up an expert committee chaired by a retired Supreme Court judge to look into the impact of the scheme on national security and the military.

Meanwhile, a high alert continues across the country. Increased vigilance at railway stations, especially in several states. With the protesters targeting the railways, the police bandobast at AP and several railway stations in Telangana has increased. Already in Haryana and Bihar areas internet has been shut down and Bandobast has been increased.
