Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan said in a letter on Twitter that he was happy with the central government’s reduction in petrol and diesel prices. In his letter, Pawan said the reduction in petrol and diesel rates would provide relief to the people who are struggling with rising prices. He attributed the rise in prices of essential commodities to fuel prices. He said a reduction of Rs 200 on gas cylinders provided under the PM Ujwala Yojana scheme would benefit the poor financially.

Pawan Kalyan suggested that the YCP government should follow the path of the central government in the matter of petrol rates. Pawan alleged that local taxes on fuel prices were higher in AP than in all the states. Pawan said that the journey of AP people has become burdensome with the originally chaotic roads. He recalled that the Jagan government was collecting Rs 600 crore annually from the people in the name of road cess on petrol and diesel sales. However, he said the situation did not appear to be repairing the roads. Pawan called for a reduction in local taxes on petrol and diesel, at least to the detriment of the people.
On the other hand, Pawan Kalyan tweeted that he sincerely hopes that Padma Shri Vanjeevi Ramaiah, who was injured in a road accident, will recover quickly. Ramaiah explained in a tweet that he wants to be perfectly healthy and retrained to protect the environment. Pawan Kalyan said that his quest for greenery and the attention he pays will inspire everyone.
