Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Case: Asaduddin Owaisi responds to Shahi Idgah dismissal case

A case is pending in the court over the Owaipu Gnanavapi mosque controversy in the country. The case is being heard in the Supreme Court along with the Varanasi court. Recently, a videography survey was conducted at the Jnanavapi Mosque as per the directions of the Varanasi court. As part of this, news came that a Shiva lingam had come out of a well in the ‘Waju Khana’ of the mosque. However, the Supreme Court has directed the Varanasi District Collector to protect the Shivalinga and allow Muslims to offer prayers. The case is being re-assigned to May 20.

Meanwhile, another controversy has erupted. The Mathura court has decided to hear the case of Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. The Mathura court has agreed to hear a petition seeking the removal of Shahi Idgah from the premises of the Katra Keshav Dev Temple, known as the birthplace of Lord Krishna in Mathura. The petition was filed by Krishna’s devotee Ranjana Agnihotri two years ago. A number of other petitions have been filed in this regard.

Meanwhile, MIM chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi responded to the controversy. Asaduddin said the Mathura court had violated the Supreme Court judgment and the Places of Worship Act 1991, which was contrary to the law of Parliament. Gnanavapi, who is from Mathura, said the idea was to create more atmosphere of hatred, insecurity and mistrust among the Hindu community towards the Muslim community and take the country back. Asaduddin said it was time for Prime Minister Narendra Modi to put an end to all this and say that he would not justify such actions that divide society. Asaduddin also made key remarks during the Gnanavapi period in the past. Babri said that he had lost the mosque in the past and was not ready to lose the sage.
