Authorities are cracking down on private travels that violate the rules. Recently, Rangareddy District Transport Department officials raided the big Amber Pet Outer Ring Road in the suburbs of Hyderabad. A team of officers is registering cases against those who roam contrary to the regulations.

It is also taking steps to curb the private travels mafia which is charging high fares from travelers in the wake of the Sankranthi festival. Authorities are thoroughly examining every document related to the buses. Obtaining contract permits and seizing buses plying as stage carriages.
