The first ODI between India and West Indies will be held on 22nd of this month. The second ODI will be held on 24th of this month and the third ODI will be held on 27th of this month. All ODIs will be played in Port of Spain. After that, under the leadership of regular captain Rohit, Team India will play five T20s against West Indies. With the absence of key players like Rohit and KL Rahul in the ODI series, there is a possibility that Ruthuraj Gaikwad will open alongside Team India captain Shikhar Dhawan. But Ruthuraj will have tough competition from Ishaan Kishan and Shubman Gill. As a wicket keeper, Ishan’s place in the team seems assured. If another wicket keeper Sanju Samson is included in the team, Ishan Kishan will have to be confined to the bench.
