Monkeypox: Monkeypox first recorded death

The world is currently being ravaged by monkeypox. Already the number of monkeypox cases is increasing in many countries. Monkeypox, which is restricted to Central African countries, has now spread to Europe and the Americas. The first case was reported in Britain in the first week of May this year. The disease was found in a person from Nigeria. Dozens of cases have been reported since then. The first case was registered in the US on May 18. Currently, up to 9 cases have been registered in 7 states.

Meanwhile there was an early death this year with MonkeyPox. The Nigeria Center for Disease Control and Prevention announced on Sunday that deaths have been reported with monkeypox in Nigeria this year. A total of 66 cases were reported in 2022 but 21 were confirmed. The monkeypox is most commonly found in the Central African countries of Congo and Nigeria. Authorities say the 40-year-old man who died is currently on immunosuppressive drugs.

There are currently over 200 monkeypox cases reported in 20 countries around the world. In addition to the United States, cases have been reported in Australia, Britain, Spain, Belgium, Germany, France, Israel and the UAE. However, experts say that the disease can be cured in two weeks in those who have a strong immune system. Experts warn that the disease is likely to spread with homosexuality. Doctors say a person infected with the monkeypox virus may have symptoms such as rash, swollen lymph nodes, and headaches, similar to those of smallpox.
