Pakistan, once reeling under deep economic problems, internal and political problems, has once again made up its mind. India has strongly opposed a resolution passed by the Pakistan National Assembly against the delimitation of constituencies in Jammu and Kashmir. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has termed Pakistan’s resolution against the delimitation of Jammu and Kashmir, which is part of India, as “ridiculous”. It insisted that Pakistan was not entitled to interfere in the internal affairs of India, including Pakistan-occupied Kashmir as well as Indian territories. Foreign Ministry spokesman Arindam Bagchi said the delimitation was being done after several rounds of talks on the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. After the new delimitation, Baramulla, Srinagar, Anantnag-Rajouri, Udhampur and Jammu will be formed as five parliamentary constituencies in Kashmir.

Earlier, India had strongly opposed the remarks of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). A country has asked the OIC not to implement a religious agenda with mandates. India strongly condemns IOC’s remarks against India on Jammu and Kashmir delimitation issue. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has said that it is not good for the OIC to once again make unnecessary remarks on Indian internal affairs.

The Government of India has unequivocally refuted the claims made by the OIC Secretariat on the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, which is an integral part of India. The OIC has expressed grave concern over India’s efforts to redraw the electoral boundaries of Jammu and Kashmir, accusing it of violating the rights of the Kashmiri people. India was furious over the remarks. The Government of India states that the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh are an integral part of India. India opposes resolution passed by Pakistan National Assembly.
