India strong warning to Pakistan and China: India has given a strong warning to the cousin country Pakistan and the dragon country China. India has expressed anger over the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) passing through Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. At a time when China and Pakistan are looking to encourage a third country to join this project, India has responded strongly. External Affairs Ministry Arindam Bagchi announced India’s decision.
China and Pakistan are building the Seapec project in Indian territory occupied by Pakistan. China decided to welcome a third country interested in joining the project at a meeting of the Seapec Joint Working Group held on Friday. India expressed its stand on this decision. On Tuesday, Arindam Bagchi said, “India has made its case that such activities are illegal and unacceptable under CPEC.” Bagchi said that if any country joins this, it will be defying India’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. He said that India will firmly and steadfastly oppose the CPEC project in Indian territory illegally occupied by Pakistan.
Pakistan is building road and rail lines through SEAPEC. Pakistan is building this project by taking huge loans from China. These constructions continue from China’s Xinjiang Province through Pakistan Occupied Kashmir to Pakistan’s Baluchistan Gwadar Port. CPEC is being built by China as part of China’s ambitious Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) project. There is strong opposition to this project from the people of Balochistan. The Baloch Liberation Army, along with the Pakistan Army, frequently attacks the Chinese there. Even if the economic condition of Pakistan deteriorates due to this project, they do not care.
