CM KCR Review: It rained heavily in many districts across Telangana. Once again the streams and bends overflowed due to heavy rain. Varuna, who had calmed down for three days, was again showing his glory. The low-lying areas of Telangana are getting waterlogged and the projects are being flooded with flood water. In this background, CM KCR conducted a review of the flood situation in the state. CS Someshkumar, officials of water drainage department, ENCs and high officials of other departments participated in this meeting. The CM ordered the officials to be alert in the wake of heavy rains. KCR reviewed the water levels of the projects with the officials. It was ordered to be available to the public at all times. Officers of all departments are advised to work in coordination.
It is already raining incessantly in many districts. On the other hand, the Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert for Telangana. Red alert has been announced for four districts. Red alert has been issued for Mahbubabad, Janagama, Suryapet and Yadadri Bhuvanagiri districts. Orange alert has been issued for Khammam, Warangal, Nalgonda, Rangareddy, Medchal Malkajigiri districts and yellow alert has been issued for some other districts. The Meteorological Center of Hyderabad has said that rains are falling in many parts of Telangana due to the effect of shear zone. It is said that there is a possibility of heavy rains in the state for the next two days. Also, heavy rains are likely to occur in 18 districts. It has been raining continuously since this morning in Hyderabad. Bhagyanagar is getting wet due to rain.
